Zuhura is a certified board director, certified Board chairperson, certified Emotional Intelligence Practitioner & Master Trainer, Certified Coach, HR Practitioner, and Aspen Global Leadership Network Fellow.
She has over 20 years of experience in providing Strategic HR advice, corporate training, and executive coaching.
She works with managers and senior leaders to support the change management process and create value for shareholders and other stakeholders, both in private and public-owned business enterprises.
Zuhura has been leading transformation in business enterprises through providing strategic oversight to management teams across several industries: media, banking, insurance, social security fund, real estate, manufacturing, telecommunication, mining, energy, and not-for-profit organizations. She has strong board leadership experience within private companies with East Africa footprints, state owned enterprises, public institutions, and private sector business forums of Tanzania. Her current focus is supporting businesses to harness the human side of innovation to create sustainable success, at both oversight (as board director) and executive level through training and consultancy engagements.
Zuhura is passionate about Women in Leadership and runs an initiative under Impact Leadership Academy of enhancing female talent pool and referral to decision making roles. She designs and conducts several programs for building confidence and capacity for young women leaders in Sub Sahara Africa.
She is a recipient of Women In Management Africa (WIMA) award of 50 Influential women in management in Africa 2022. She is also featured in the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Report 2021 – “Leading Tanzania Women in Financial Services” for her achievements in board leadership role in the Banking sector and support for women in leadership.
