Dr. Deogratias Ludovick Mbona

Dr. Deogratias is a Representative of PUM Netherlands Senior Experts. PUM is an organization of volunteers, based in the Netherlands.
PUM offers expert advisory services to SMEs in developing countries including Tanzania. PUM is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Its headquarter is located in The Hague.
Dr. Mbona started to work as PUM Representative in January 2016. Since then he has linked more than 100 SMEs in Tanzania (from different sectors) with Experts from PUM. The PUM Experts from the Netherlands have contributed their immense skills, knowledge and experience in supporting these SMEs, especially in the areas of production, product design, quality control and assurance, marketing, export and many others, hence contributing to their growth, and as result, creating many job opportunities and contributing in the reduction of poverty.
Dr. Mbona worked as Coordinator of the University of Dar es Salaam Business School (UDBS) Alumni, from 2010 to 2013. He then worked as Part-Time Lecture in the Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences (FEMS) at the Institute of Finance Management (IFM), starting December 2013 to August 2019. At IFM Dr. Mbona taught students in all levels, certificate, diploma, bachelor’s degree, post-graduate diploma, and MBA – International Business. In the MBA-International Business Programme, Dr, Mbona taught for four years a course titled ‘Small and Medium Business Management’.
Dr. Mbona is a Mentor in the CRDB Women in Leadership Program, and is a Coach in the AFAWA Program, under the Graca Machel Trust (GMT). Dr. Mbona brings together his academic and private sector experience, combining with his exposure and knowledge in international business and export promotion which he learned in the Netherlands, Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa.
